We are suggesting that all homeowners ask the following questions of any contractor before signing a new home construction or home remodeling contract.
Will this contractor provide previous client references?
Will this contractor provide his supplier's references?
Will this contractor clean up the job site on a daily basis?
Do their key people have pagers and mobile phones?
Do they return client phone calls within 24 hours?
Will they obtain the necessary permits for your project?
Is this contractor aware of all the Title 24 regulations and how they apply in your town?

Is this contractor fully licensed in your state?
Is this contractor fully insured for workers compensation and general liability?
Are all their subcontractors also insured? Ask to see a certificate of insurance.
Does this contractor have a business permit to work in your city?
Will this contractor provide complete written contract specifications, a contract with start and stop dates, also accurate working drawings?
Does this contractor provide a warranty on all their work & how fast do they respond to warranty calls?
